Web Development is hard.

It has been one day since I put the website up on neocities. So, to keep time with the log, its the 2nd of April, 2026. Holy fuck, this is difficult for me to wrap my head around. I have to find a reliable way to keep neocities and my main code in sync because with every update (including this!) they drift further and further apart. This wouldn't be an issue if I didnt use my local version as a testing ground. Vscodium has an extention that allows me to test the website "live" on a local port. PhP won't work but as of writing I havent done any of that yet. But, since neocities is a bit clunkier to test with, most changes that are major are made on my local system, and I need to manually copy and paste any change, and with the growing css file... thats getting harder.

I UNDERSTAND THAT I SHOULD BE COMMENTING BETTER. Leave me be, let me dig my own grave and compain about it. Yes I will lie in it. I will just be loud and annoying.

CSS has also been,,, interesting. I have never really be skilled at it, and getting the website to look the way it does required so much trial and error, and many a visit to w3 schools. At least the javascript only needed a refresher on the syntax. I had so much fun making the music player and I am honestly so disappointed that mp3s aren't available on neocities. I get why, but damn,,,

At the current moment, the website looks like this:

And I like it. I am not sure if I like the name or the description, but that can change. It can all change. Its a little overwhelming how much control I have but I certainly prefer it to any social media site so much, its only been a few days and this site already has more love poured into it than any of my other profiles. Is it mine? yeah. Is it me? Who knows. By the way, here is the sketch I made for the website while planning how I wanted it to look:
